Introduction
to Kiln-Forming (Fusing & Slumping)
This is the class that will get you
started with the basics of fusing and slumping. This intensive
class will teach beginning students the basics of glass cutting
to successfully designing glass projects that will result
in at least 5 beautiful fused and slumped glass objects including
pendants, tiles, kiln-carving, clocks and decorative bowls.
The teacher will cover the processes involved in kiln-firing,
including safety, glass compatibility, proper design and
mold selection to enhance the student’s success.

Fusing
Dichroic Jewelry and Wire-Wrapping
Does the shimmery surface of expensive dichroic glass
totally mesmerize you? This amazing glass that reflects one or more colors
and transmits others is exciting to work with in your jewelry creations. In
this class, you will learn to use dichroic glass successfully to make unique
fused cabochons and matching earrings. In addition, etching dichroic glass
will be addressed. After that, you will learn to wire-wrap the cabochons using
beginning wire-wrapping skills.

Intermediate Wire-Wrapping of Your Glass Cabochons
You will construct a bezel made out of sterling silver wire to frame
your cabochon and will learn to embelish it using the same wires.

$68, includes all supplies for wire-wrapping. You
may bring your own cabochons or purchase one on-site.
Intermediate
Kiln-Forming: Taking it to the Next Level - Components for Creative Fusing
Do you want to take your fusing to the next level? This
class will introduce you to various components that you can use in future projects.
These will include cold combing with frit, pattern bars, murrini rods, pot
melts and using the Vitrigraph to make stringers and organic shapes. The student
will also experience introductory cold working techniques and hands-on use
with the sandblaster, tile saw, lap grinder, and polisher.

Not Your
Ordinary Painted Landscape- Painting with Glass
For those of you who love to paint, this unique class
is all about painting with glass- glass frits, stringers, rods, and enamels.
Even students who don’t know how to paint, it’s all about the techniques
you will learn in this fun class. Your finished project will measure 20 inches
by 16 inches.
Students interested in this advanced class will be accommodated based

Geometric Glass Bowls
Design, cut, fuse and slump a 12 inch decorative or functional platter or bowl
using your choice of design and glass colors that will make you look like
a pro in only five hours.

Perfecting
Your Cutting Skills
Need some help with cutting because you’re always
breaking glass or do you just need a refresher? This class will help you discover
techniques that will result in less breakage and save you time and money.
$40

Glass Etching
- The Fundamentals
Turn fused pieces, ordinary windows, mirrors or bottles
into works of art using the easily learned sand etching or sand blasting technique.
Both basic and advanced techniques are taught.

Beginning
Stained Glass
Learn the stress- relieving art of stained glass using the uniquely American
Copper Foil method developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. As you complete
your project ( a finished 18 X 12 inch window), you’ll have a newfound
skill that will enable you to complete many other projects in the future. The
instruction is very individualized. class will teach the beginning glass student
to complete a two-dimensional stained glass panel (up to 16" x 22" maximum size)
which will be ready for hanging in a window when completed. Instruction will
include cutting glass, pattern making, glass selection, using color, copper foiling
techniques, soldering, proper finishing and safety in the glass studio.

Intermediate
Stained Glass: Six Panel Lampshades
Take your stained glass skills to the next level. Create
a six-panel lampshade from a variety of patterns you can enhance with decorative
wire.
Note: Knowledge of Beginning Stained Glass Cutting Skills
is required.

Advanced
Stained Glass: Leaded Glass Panels
Learn the skills that will prepare you to
make larger projects designed to beautify doors, cabinets
and home windows. This class is for those who have
completed Beginning and Intermediate Stained Glass.

A Mosaic
Class - Turning Glass into Art
Take your "glassy" idea and create a mosaic.
Learn to mosaic a wooden tray, a terra cotta flower pot or make a stepping
stone. You'll learn how to do all three but can complete only one project in
this time frame.

Introduction to PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Jewelry
PMC or Art Clay Silver is an ideal medium
for expressing creativity - it is fun, forgiving, fast and
friendly or non-toxic. In this one day class, you will learn
about all the required tools for working with PMC and the
tips and techniques to make at least one pendant and one
set of earrings.
